Transmedia Book
The task of creating a Transmedia book was not one I found particularly easy. The difficulty in creating a Transmedia book had nothing to do with the technology involved. It was much more to do with my lack of inherent creativity. Creating something fun and original is most defiantly not my jam.
I teach History I focus on the "When, where, who, why, how?" Any student who has had my class knows it is a pretty reliable pattern, for better or worse. Lots of primary source analysis, lecture, writing, and Socratic Seminar style discussions.
The activity I have created is intended to provide students with an overview of the beginning of the French Revolution and the differences between the three French Estates and the importance of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen. The French Revolution is obviously much more complicated than this little pamphlet demonstrates, but overall I like how the booklet integrates text, AR, QR Codes, Hyperlink, and video.
You will need a QR Reader and the Zappar App to fully experience the booklet.
